3 wise hotels (and the gifts they're bringing this Christmas)

Aaah Christmas, our favourite time of the year here at Triptease! Christmas is all about sharing and we've got some seasonal Direct Booking tips ready for you.

Everyone is trying to make the most out of the festive period, which means that clients are being bombarded from all fronts with offers and only the best and most innovative will actually stand out from the crowd. So we’ve taken a look at what our hotel partners are up to this festive period to drive direct bookings and have curated our 3 top picks from the Christmas Season 2016...

Be Imaginative

Cheval Residences, a collection of stunning serviced apartments in London, are promoting Direct Bookings on their website with a beautiful Advent Calendar that offers a different perk every day of the month when you make a Direct Booking on their website. A sure incentive to encourage guests to visit the hotel website and complete their booking to receive their Christmas gift.

Be Generous

Nordic Choice Hotels, one of the largest hotel management companies in Scandinavia, have put forward this wonderful initiative to collect gifts for those in need. Dubbed the “Lonely Christmas Tree Seeking Gifts” campaign, it strongly transmits the values of the company to all audiences and builds loyalty with their guests. Not only that, but for every gift, Nordic Choice make a donation to a UNICEF project. Spread the Christmas cheer.

According to recent reports, between 10 and 15 percent of hotels make up to 60% of their total revenue from returning guests. Returning guests can be the most rewarding for hotels, so why not reward them back. No better reason than Christmas.

Today our CSO and globetrotter, Pete, received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Melia Hotels as a gesture of gratitude for being a loyal customer. A simple yet hugely powerful approach which is being much appreciated by the team here in London!

If you have seen other examples of hotels emitting creative Christmas cheer, please let us know - we’d love to check them out!
