The Great AI Reality Check: Separating Fact from Fiction

Thursday 8 January 2026 10:30am EST | 3:30pm GMT | 4:30pm CET

AI agents booking hotels autonomously. Properties becoming invisible in ChatGPT. Chatbots confidently giving wrong information. The headlines are relentless, but how much is real and how much is noise?

To kick off 2026 and give you clarity after the holiday break, Charlie Osmond (Triptease) is joined by Sanjay Vakil (DirectBooker, ex-Google Travel) and Ira Vouk (Hospitality 2.0 author, AI consultant) to either bust or confirm the AI headlines.

Will travelers actually let AI book for them? Should you panic about agentic AI or wait it out? And what can you do right now to be ready for the AI future?

You'll learn:

  • Which AI developments genuinely threaten (or strengthen) your direct channel
  • What the data says about traveler trust in AI recommendations
  • The myths your team can stop worrying about
  • The opportunities you cannot afford to ignore

Still on holiday in early January? We got you. Sign up to receive the recording to share with your team.

Help us shape the content: submit your questions and challenges here, and we'll tackle them in upcoming sessions with Charlie and industry experts.
