Direct booking demigods. High-occupancy heroes. How do the best hotels do it so well?

There's still time to join us at the Direct Booking Summit in New York this week, where we'll be asking some of the industry's highest-profile hoteliers to share the secrets to their success.

When we were planning the Direct Booking Summit, we had one criteria for speakers. They had to bring real-life strategies to the table. If hotels are going to take time out of their jam-packed schedules to attend our event, we want to make sure we're delivering the highest-quality content that is going to make their jobs - and lives! - a whole lot easier.

Luckily, both hoteliers and tech providers were more than happy to step up to the plate.

Here's just some of what you can look forward to seeing in New York:

Lotte New York Palace's Director of Revenue Management, Derek Brewster, joins GM of Hotel on Rivington Daniel Tennant to talk direct booking strategy on a panel hosted by event partner Tnooz. Hotel on Rivington are going from strength to strength when it comes to shifting guests to their direct channel, and are making sure to re-invest that saved OTA commission back into guest experience. Derek is an award-winning Director of Revenue at one of the Top 10 hotels in NYC (according to Travel + Leisure World's Best awards). Join these two veterans of Big Apple hospitality to learn their tricks of the trade.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association's VP of Government Affairs, Maryam Cope, will be giving the inside scoop on the 2017 Search Smarter campaign responsible for ruffling more than a few OTA feathers. Maryam will be delving into an economist's view of the OTA marketplace, as well as discussing the real viewpoint that matters in this debate: the consumer's.

Pacific Gateway Hotel's dream team, Marketing Manager Amanda Gregory-Jones and Dir. Sales & Marketing Donald Pinkney, will be sharing their story of building and leveraging a digital strategy from the ground up. Well worth attending if you're a new hotel wondering how to define your digital brand.

Jose Canelos, Senior Manager of Digital Product Development at Leading Hotels of the World, will be telling us the secret to creating a website as welcoming as a hotel lobby. Today's internet-powered world means that hospitality begins online, and few get that better than LHW. Join Jose to pick up tips on super-powering the online guest experience.

Make sure you grab one of the last few tickets here.

These speakers join a whole host of others on what can only be described as the industry's most exciting event lineup. And if that weren't enough, there'll be tech demonstrations, free t-shirts galore and a larger-than-life party to top the whole thing off. Join us at the Westin on Wednesday - we'd love to see you there.

Can't join us in New York? You're in luck - we'll be across the pond in Barcelona on the 18th and 19th of October. Get tickets here.
